Earn Money Mailing Postcards

If you truly want to succeed as a real estate investor, you should ignore the majority of marketing advice promoted by the "I Can you learn to walk on water overnight "Guru crowd of real estate property investors. If you really want to achieve real estate investment Promised Land, you'll have to quit worshiping at the altar of the guru investors. They are very good at selling themselves and their overpriced, title = "Real Estate Investing"> inefficient estate investing course, but if you really want to launch your career into the stratosphere you're going to have to find a better way.
I'm not saying that gurus completely missed the boat, they will speak incorrectly. For example, some investors have correctly identified guru of direct mail as a way to reach motivated sellers. Unfortunately, in their quest to profit from their naive students, many of them cut corners and broke a cardinal rule of marketing: Stand out from the crowd.
Imagine for a moment that you own difficulties. You're stuck with a mortgage you can not afford or you own a house that needs repairs you can do. You walk to your mailbox to retrieve your mail and mixed in with a stack of bills, late notices, high rate card offers credit and solicitations of business cash advances are two small postcards.
Here's what the former says:
"Behind on your mortgage payments? We can help! Call 1-800-555-5555"
Not very inspiring, Is it? How likely do you want to give this postcard more than a glance past the pitch in the trash? Now look at the postcard second.
"Is – your offer banking services to swing by your place with his truck this weekend to help you move? If late payments or other problems you're between the hammer and the anvil, we can help. And we can Do it now. Call 1-800-555-5555 for information how we can throw a life preserver and save you from drowning. "
If these two postcards are fighting for your attention, we is more likely to attract your attention? That's right – the second. Now for the million dollar question: Do you know why the second postcard was be more effective?
In short, it's more interesting, original and convincing. Thousands of property investors are wasting their hard earned money on marketing strategies that do not work. The concept of a postcard is effective, but the message is broken and must be replaced by something new, exciting and attention grabbing.
I am not suggesting that you should necessarily use the exact message that is on postcard. What I mean is that you need to develop your own original message that will cut through the clutter and capture the attention of your prospect. If the message on your postcard is the same message on all the other postcards that are displayed in their mailbox letters that it will be ignored. You'll be wasting your time and money.
The same applies when sending letters to owners difficulty. The average investor in real estate seems to think that if John Q. Homeowner can not make their payments and facing foreclosure, that the moment your letter appears in his mailbox, he will fall to his knees, raising his hands in the air, and I thank God for sending you his way.
Newsflash: It's just not happening. The average homeowner faced with this situation in general, he deals as they do when they start seeing signs that their marriage is headed south. They claim there is nothing wrong then they worry in silence. Doing nothing is easier than measures, and so they do nothing there is a chance that things could turn around miraculously at the last second.
Your letter has to beat him (or her) between the eyes and capture their attention. It can not be a generic one million letters. Your boss may also not be all about you, your experience or how you (think) you are. What he has to do is get their attention by an emotional connection and showing in no uncertain terms that there is an advantage for them calling you. In short, your letter is essentially a letter of sales, but you can not make them feel as if they were sold.
Can you do that? Can you effectively cut through the clutter and space for one or two pages to demonstrate your expertise and your willingness to assist them in doing worthwhile? If you can, you are ahead of all other forms of letters that fill their mailboxes.
If you can not, you must find a way.
