Make Money Writing Short Stories

It is well known that the preparation of good quality items and placing them on the Internet is a good way to get exposure. Unfortunately, there is also a good way to expose yourself in a way that you do not want.
As an avid writer and reader I spent a few minutes each day reading the thoughts of other contributors. Sometimes I am pleasantly surprised. Often, I am not.
I see the same mistakes over and over again.
Before I list six common mistakes let me tell you that I have spent many years as a professional letter writer, editor, proofreader, report writer and speechwriter. I also wrote eight books and have had many letters, articles and short stories published in many newspapers, magazines and, of course, all over the internet.
If you want to see for yourself you can look on any search engine and you'll see my name up everywhere. (Now I'm really going to be under pressure to perform at the highest level.) Enough about my credentials.
Errors …
I'll list some of the most troublesome for a drive. Fixing them will definitely you make your writing stronger. They are:
- I know that sounds obvious, but ridiculous please use the spell checker on your computer. It will not pick up all errors, but it will reveal the most obvious. It is a good start. Too many spelling mistakes many will destroy your credibility. People will wonder what are the mistakes you make. Who leads them to question the accuracy of your information.
- Space in your writing easy to read paragraphs. If you're the kind of writer who starts just the upper left page and ends in the corner bottom right of the page, then you must stop doing that. Why? The main reason is that nobody can read it. Nothing more face to drive a massive block of continuous text. See what I just did? The paragraph was getting too big. Many "white space" around short paragraphs are much easier to read. A dozen or two paragraphs is much easier to read than something that looks horrible legal document some lawyers. I used to put the pages at my feet, get up, then the view for a visual effect. If paragraphs which seemed too chunky, so I create more "white space". Finally, I was able to do so naturally my office.
- Keep your points a key theme. Arrange them logically. In other words, present one idea per paragraph and stick to it. If you want to add something that is not in keeping with the theme and then start a new paragraph. Chopping and changing subjects within paragraphs makes your search scrambled thoughts. Do this and you lose any readers. They think they are playing the mental health of "snakes and ladders.
- Use short sentences. Again, see what I did? This first sentence was only three words. The next was just five years. This sentence is only six words. Several short sentences with an occasional long sentence like this will change. Short sentences are easy to understand. If you use very long sentences people will back to reread to understand what you are saying. Is what you want?
- Do not use big or unusual words when shorter or more common words do the same job. Often, people will use big words to impress their readers. Let me assure you – it is not impressive. You will lose readers. That said – if a word large ensures a precise meaning that no other word can you then use it. Just do not make people run for the lexicon, too often. Sorry. I said dictionary. See what I mean?
- Proof read your article several times to ensure that the result meaning. A good method is to read, make the changes necessary, then come back later. Only when you are happy with your item you must submit to publication.
To summarize:
- Use the spell check on your computer
- The area of your points in writing with enough "white" space around it
- Keep paragraphs within specific topics
- Short sentences are easier to understand
- Common words are easier to understand
- Proofread your work carefully before submitting it.
If you adhere to these six key points to improve your writing and your readers will appreciate it.
